This Privacy Policy describes how Weblabra ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use PermitDig (the "Service"). We are committed to transparency about our data practices.

Automatically collected

  • Usage data: Pages viewed, permits browsed, searches performed, map interactions, and navigation patterns.
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and device category.
  • Referral data: How you arrived at our site (search engine, direct link, social media).
  • IP address: Used for approximate geographic location (country/region level) and security. Not stored long-term.

Information you provide

PermitDig does not require account creation. If you contact us via email, we collect your email address and message content to respond to your inquiry.

  • Improve the Service: Understand which permit types, jurisdictions, and features are most used.
  • Monitor performance: Identify technical issues, measure page load times, ensure reliability.
  • Analyze trends: Understand aggregate usage patterns to prioritize new jurisdictions and features.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

  • Google Analytics (GA4): Collects anonymized usage data. Opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
  • Essential cookies: Used for caching and map tile functionality.

PermitDig may display advertisements through Google AdSense. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.

5. Permit Data & Public Records

All building permit data displayed on PermitDig is sourced from public government records. This includes property owner names, addresses, contractor names, permit values, and work descriptions — all of which are public record as filed with local government agencies. We do not collect or create any personally identifiable information beyond what is already in the public record.

If you are a property owner and wish to understand what public record information about your property is displayed, please contact the issuing jurisdiction directly. PermitDig mirrors publicly available data and does not have the ability to modify government records.

Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics defaults (14 months). Contact emails are retained only as needed to resolve your inquiry. Permit data is retained indefinitely as it represents permanent public records.

  • Request information about what data we hold about you.
  • Request deletion of personal data (e.g., email correspondence).
  • Opt out of analytics tracking via browser settings or the GA opt-out add-on.
  • Opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. Contact us to exercise any data rights.

PermitDig is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
